We either believe we have the power to change our lives or we don’t. To what degree do you believe in your ability to make changes in your life and the world around you? In this area I am a radical – I wholeheartedly believe we can change anything within ourselves and even around us to some extent. Including the ability to change our health and mental outlook. Now I am not saying that I can do all these things, but I believe I am capable, and that makes me very interested in learning and exploring this area of humanity.
What if we are nervous because that is how our beliefs have formed, and that if we changed foundational human beliefs, we would be less anxious and nervous? We jump right on board when medical science tells us there is a pill that will change our physiology and cure us. But did you ever consider the pill was only changing our bodies chemistry in ways our body is fully capable of doing by itself?
When someone tells us that our body can produce chemical change all by itself, we doubt the statement unless a medical institution says it is true. We have fallen asleep to new ideas at this level and allow others to create our beliefs.
I want to understand the power of beliefs, and how beliefs interrelate and create belief constructs. I want to discover ways of getting free from these belief constructs and developing new beliefs that better serve my needs. Understanding how beliefs work is necessary on an individual basis but also equally important at a cultural level, societal level, even a species level.
We are at a point in our human evolution where our intellectual and technological awareness far exceeds our moral, emotional, and spiritual awareness. Maybe that is why there have been so many courses and teachings on these topics over the last 50 years because we need them.
What is my part, your part? For me, this has been a life long question, and I want to be involved in finding solutions. I want to experiment, create, think, care, and pray for rapid evolution. It is possible there is an infinite number of species evolving throughout the Universe, and that some will survive and some will not. That puts the ball in our court and makes clear the need for all of us to take our species evolution seriously. We have reached a level of consciousness that allows us to direct our evolutionary path. Fantastic, I hope.
